In order to address the emergence of the 4th Industrial Revolution, our SGB, a group of competent, skilled individuals and representatives of our parent community, embraced digital education and Randfontein High School is one of the first schools to become fully digital with every classroom equipped with interactive whiteboards and all learners are taught on smart devices loaded with a multitude of resources. This was done independently of the Gauteng MEC for Education, Mr Panyaza Lesufi’s 10 point plant for education and plan for all schools to become SMART schools in a five year period. He did however, visit Randfontein High School and declared us to be a fully digital institution. We have since become a successful pilot school for a number of GDE digital projects including provincial digital examinations, academic and administrative systems, the conversion of a traditional curriculum into one that is interactive and real world. As a result, we are truly a school of the 21st Century paving the way for learners who are technologically savvy and able to conquer an ever changing world beyond Grade 12.
As a school, we always strive for excellence and will never be content with the status quo. We continually assess current strategies, identify areas for development and address our needs in an organised and structured manner. Randfontein High School is committed to quality curriculum delivery and learner achievement. Academics is not only our core business but it is the heartbeat of our school.
